We are very impressed by your website. We had just had a disappointing tour of the Coventry Cathedral website and so were not prepared for the magnificent contents of 'Alan's Place'! Thanks for reviving our spitits!

Hello Alan. A very clear and easy to use site. Well done! I am a 55 year old Cornishman with a welsh father and decided, upon gaining a few O and A levels, that I was not going to leave Cornwall and thus, after working in Falmouth GPO as a counter clerk for 10 years, took up the family (Endean) tradition of fishing. Did very well until the Greedy scots, the French, Dutch, Spanish and the EEC took it all away. Then spent some time with the Harbour Office and as mechanic on the lifeboat before being kicked off for being to old. Am now working at Bodmin, for St Merryn Meat and thoroughly hate the drive to and thro' each day. My daughter has followed in my footsteps and after gaining some very good exam results managed to find employment in a computerised printing firm here in Falmouth. My wife is also Cornish with a welsh father and she works at Falmouth Community school, which is just a short walk up the road from where we live in Lamb's Lane. Just a short insight into who is logging on to your site. Catch you again me 'ansom. Roy Parry

Hello there..please help me if you can? I am looking for information on the surname "Lusk". This was my maiden name and would love to find out for my 79 year old dad about his grandfather Comfort Jay Lusk and his family. I have talked to someone from UK who thought it may be a Cornish name. Any suggestions for sites would be greatly appreciated. It would be a precious gift to my dad in his elderly life.. and a joy for me to know if I have family whom I have never met in England. Thanks so very much!

nigelgregory@bigpond.com. New to the internet and this is one of the first sites I came across. It will take me a day or two to go through everything. Like an earlier signer, I also leant BRO GOTH AGAN TASOW in my youth - this is Kernow's national anthem, not "Trelawney"!

Had a nice, first visit to Cornwall last Fall (98). G-g-g-grandparents emigrated from St. Agnes area in the 1850s. Interested in Curtis-Penrose-Treddinick ties. Enjoyed your page. A lot of work? Stay proud, it is a lovely area of this planet.

Nice web pages... especially the picture of King Harry ferry, I was there a few months ago. We've just moved to Penarth in S.wales (pen being the same in Cornish and welsh of course) and into a house called Penwenack. I know |Cornwall well.. yet have necer heard of a place called Penwenack. Neither does a web search reveal anything.. any ideas?

Most impressive website, Alan. Makes my photo of the cat look silly. (I haven't actually got a cat, hence no photo - though I could photo someone else's cat, I suppose - but you see the tribute thus being paid.)
