Hi, I'm an x Brit. who came to Canada in '56. In'44 I worked on a farm in
Downderry, for a Mr. Lewis Hicks. It was called Keveral. They were an older
childless couple, who worked me, a 1y year old, very hard. I have fond memory's
of trips to Cornwall as a visitor in '77,'83 and '85.I make a mean Cornish pasty
with the recipe from a true Cornishman who worked in my company. I shall be
returning to your site many times. Keep up the good work. Dick Smythers.

I can't believe that people still want to perceive Cornwall as magically
'different' to the rest of England. Every county of Britain is a county based on
different historical and cultural lines, and many are just as distinct as
Cornwall, for example: Northumberland, Cumbria, Kent, the Yorkshires, etc.
Should every county demand the same distinctions and independence? Also, why is
it that Cornwall is accepted as Celtic, when it has no more nor less Celtic-ness
than the rest of England or Britain. Just because a tradition may have an
English name, doesn't make it non-Celtic. It's nice that someone can love their
county enough to regard it as a nation oppressed by a foreign one, but Britain
as a whole is a single unit with every county being basically an ancient
kingdom, and not every county can have the same degree of freedom which this
site proclaims for. Signed a person who would sooner say British than part:
Wiltshire, Esses, Gwynedd, Strathclyde, Tyne and Wear, Cornwall, Somerset,
County Durham, Avon, Anglesey and Cumbria. http://mysite.xtra.co.nz/~britannia/index.html

I'm browsing for the 7 Celtic nations. I don't know much about the 4 other than
Scotland, Ireland & Wales. Having a Celtic Celebration around St. Patrick's
Day. Thought I would educate myself and the public about the other 4, which I
don't think I'm the only one who did not know they existed as such. Yes, I knew
you were there! I just didn't know you were Celts also! Have not had a chance to
look around yet, but hope you have a map.
