I'm just getting interested in tracing my roots. I learned today that my great grand-father was born in Cornwall in 1855. He died when my dad was 7, and we never knew much about him. His birthplace was listed as Oxford, Cornwall, but I cannot find this town on any map or in any other listing. Do you know if such a town did, or does exist? Thanks for your fantastic Cornwall Web Site.

Look, dont take this the wrong way, but what is the great deal about Cornwall. To me ,they seem to be very arrogant, and extremely in-bred. Apart from that, its a nice site.

How very interesting to find your site. I plan to spend more time on it and really enjoy what you have to offer. My Father emigrated to Canada from Boscastle in 1913 and I really 'hunger' for any knowledge I can absorb on this beautiful county. Thank you. Georgi PHILP Sills vsills@dowco.com
