I have Cornish ancestry I am trying to trace. My Grandfather came from Camborne. Some of my relations names are Champion, Tangye, and Rogers. Please contact me if you have any information, or wish to receive more info on additional relations in the Camborne area. I have started a web site but am just a beginner, so it didn't turn out very well yet. It is http://www.mwt.net/~dad

Good Site !!

Ray Ginsburgh at 23:24:18 Friday September 5 97
I seems that all the true Cornish people must have left Cornwall.

After reading your guest book I've begun to wonder if anyone stayed in Cornwall. The Cornish came to southwest Wisconsin, too. Pasties and safron cake are offered in restaurants. I work for the landlocked Lands' End Direct Merchants (see website under "landsend"). I'll be coming to Cornwall next spring. Save me room.

Andrew Burt in Harlow, Essex at 13:47:43 Friday August 8 97
Cool pages!!! Keep up the good work. I am from St Just. Judging by your surname I would say that you were most likely to come from Penzance? I went to Humphry Davy Grammar School with a Richards but I can't remember his first name. I was born in Bolitho on /12/65 and actively involved in Family History (CFHS 4809). I try to get home about once a month if I can. Currently I work for Herts County Council - well at least for the last 8 years. Cheers Andrew

Alan Richards in London, Ont., Canada at 3:41:35 Tuesday August 5 97
Hi there namesake. Found your name while searching for my Cornish ancestors . . . but no, my Richards ancestors are not from Cornwall. I think they were Welsh cattlemen who settled in Berkshire sometime in the 18th century. My Cornwall surnames are YEO, from St. Neot/St. Breward, and Prout, from somewhere around Launcells. BTW, I found through my genealogy research that I have a distant cousin named Alan Richards living in Shropshire! AER

Enjoyed your page. Heard the miners from Cornwall were very hard workers, dependable and were called Cornish Jacks. Sure wish I had one of those Cornish pastys.

Hi Alan! Nice site!

Darren Johns in Aberdeen, Scotland UK. at 14:26:43 Friday July 18 97
Good site - lots of good links, just a couple of bits I didn't like, frames are _awful_ to use (my pet peeve), animated Gifs are irritating, and the jokes would be better if they weren't written as foreigners (non-Cornish) think we speak. By the way I may be in Aberdeen but I come from Chacewater near Truro. http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~johns/

George D. Allen in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada at 6:56:47 Friday July 18 97
A great site! I've added it to my Favourites section. Greatly interested in Cornwall as my Allen Great Grandparents came to Saint John from there in the 1870's. Are there any Allens in Cornwall reseaching their family trees? Do Thomas & Naomi Allen fit into your linage? I'll be back many times checking your various links. Keep up the good work!

Enjoyed your site, can't learn enough about my ancestors. Interesting, but I am a miner by trade and come from a long line of hard rock miners in Leadville, Colorado, where I am from. Currently mining gold in northeastern Nevada. My wife is from Nevada and being a good cook, wants to get more recipes from Cornwall. If you can e-mail us with some (since your wife is a chef), we would sure appreciate it. Thanks again for your informative site.
