As it's the 4th of July and the end of the world is nigh (today according to Nostradamus) I thought I would sign your "Guest Book" before it's too late!! I hope our American friends manage to get a few celebrations in before it's all over. If, by some miracle, this does not occur, I shall certainly be visiting your great site again, Thanks.
Don Dean in Michigan, USA at 22:2:40 Saturday July 3 99
My wife and I are retired and while we live in Michigan's lower peninsula, we spend our summers in Michigan's upper Peninsula. This area is the home of Pastys in the United States due to the influx of Cornish miners during the height of mining here. I enjoyed your webpage very much. It is always good to meet someone who is proud of the place they live.

Roger Philp in Worcester, England at 12:54:22 Tuesday June 29 99
My family originates from Tresparrat/Marshgate area Nr Boscastle and many of my family are buried in St Juliot's church Nr Boscastle (made famous by the restoration work done there by a young architect by the name of Thomas Hardy!). The young lady he married was the daughter of the pastor. I now live in Worcester but plan to move to Cornawall when I can find a job there! I grew up in Plymouth. Despite this my family are fiercely Cornish and I was brought up a cornishman. I have enjoyed browsing your pages tremendously. If anyone knows anything of the Philp family in the area I mentioned earlier, please get in touch. Roger I enjoyed your site

don't quite agree with your definition of a Cornish Pasty but there my definition comes from Redruth and my husband's evacuation there and his very wonderful foster parents.
