Michael Rescorle BSc in Southampton at 15:37:3 Friday December 24 99 I was born and educated in Camborne, Cornwall but joined the Army in 1965 and have not lived there since. I still visit at least twice a year. All my family are Cornish (I'm the only one who left) and I am now looking to research the family tree. Rescorle stems from 2 Cornish words; Ros meaning hill and Corlan meaning sheepfold/ford but has been corrupted over the centuries. There is a locality called Rescorla (a farm) near Lostwithiel and it is on a hill and you have to cross the site of an old ford to get to it, so I guess the name is about right. Dates from about 1600s. Planning to use your genealogy link coupled with a Family Tree maker on CD Rom, and links to various Internet research sites, to find my ancestors.
