I saw your message on the Cornish discussion list. Thought I'd drop in for a
visit. My grandfather was from Penzance and my grandmother was from Mousehole,
and I've lately been very interested in learning more about my Cornish heritage.

A great name - and spelled correctly, too! I understand the name
"Hicks" is also a derivative of "Richards." My grandfather
used to tell me we were descended from Land's End "mooncussers," but
I've no proof of it. A pleasant web page, Alan! All the best from the States!

Dear Alan, I enjoyed your website. I was looking for a picture or gif of the
Cornish flag. I am uncertain if such a thing exists. I belong to a Scottish
culture group and we recently had a couple to join that were of Cornish descent.
That got my curiosity going to find out more about Cornwall. Is the black flag
with the white Saltaire the Cornish flag? I Would appreciate any other
information that you have. thanks. Slainte, Alan O. Stanley aostanley@kih.net

Alan, the reason I am looking for Cornish real estate Agents is to rent my
Cottage in St. Mawes, and I thought your visitors might be interested to look at
it on the http://www.elitevacations.co.uk
page. Any other ideas how I can advertise it to Cornish enthusiasts? Kate P.S. I
think you should get the Cornish Real Estate Agents to run ads on your pages, or
pay for links. I have had a horrible time finding any of them on the Web, and
I'm sure some of them must be out there somewhere. What's the Cornish for
cheers?

Your web site is as wonderful as Cornwall itself. We have just returned to the

Hi Alan, I really enjoyed reading your pages especially the jokes. I am not
Cornish but have been a lover of all things Cornish since my first visit back in
1970. At that time I was (and still am) in a band and as was popular at the time
we went away to the country to "get it together". We rented a cottage
advertised in the Sunday Times with no idea of exactly where we were going. It
turned out to be just below Trencrom Hill, I fell in love with the place as soon
as we arrived and have returned at least once most years ever since. Whilst I am
not a Cornishman I would like to think that I treat the county and it's people
with the respect they deserve and I am deeply saddened by the recent news from
South Crofty, it's as if the country ends at the Tamar as far as our government
is concerned. I am out here helping with the development of a computer system
for London Underground, I return home on Wednesday next week. Home is not far
from you, I live in Blackmore, so the dart league page was also interesting. Be
lovely to get a reply from you, it gets lonely out here! If you get the chance I
am at the above e- mail address until I leave, if later I am at snorris@lul.co.uk

I was searching for the Cornish Coat Of Arms that appears on the Tamar Bridge as
part of my Geography project. The shield that appears here is only half of what
I will need, but thankyou anyway. What a great way of promoting Cornwall to
tourists. Well done! Keep up the good work. (What is an 'URL'?)
