Cathy Friedmann in Utica, N.Y. USA at 20:53:28 Sunday July 5 98
Went to Cornwall in 1986 and loved it! We were the only Americans, as far as we could discern, which made it even better. Have read/seen all of the Poldarks and so we visited related places. Went to Doyden Point, Gwennap Pit, Wheal Coates, etc. Also Poldark Mining Co. at Wendron. It was all wonderful! Didn't expect the sea to be so blue/green; a nice surprise! Am at this site while looking for photos and/ or live cams of Cornwall.

I just got my computer today, and this is my first venture onto the Internet. My father's name is also Alan Richards. He was born in Plymouth but considers himself a Cornishman. Perhaps you are related. He emigrated to the U.S.A in 1952. Like you, mathematics influenced his career as an actuary and corporate CEO. I like your website very much, particularly your photos. The whole effect is very informative and attractive,

Found this website through the Cornish website. Quite impressive. I'll be visiting the Lelant area of Cornwall this August looking for Edwards, Hosking, and Thomas ancestry. Could you or someone tell me how to access cemetery records since several members of my past are buried in the Lelant area? I would like to find what burial records and grave sites may exists for the early and mid 1800s. Thank you.
